To host a Stormforge server, you will run the self-hosted server that Roboto Games has confirmed for the game, which players reach over LAN or through a relay, and which supports crews of up to 8. Stormforge enters Steam early access on 10 November 2026, and the server download, ports and settings have not been published yet. Stormforge server hosting on GamezServers is coming soon: this guide covers what is confirmed, what hosting with us will look like once servers open, and how to join the waitlist to be first.
Stormforge server hosting: where things stand
Stormforge servers cannot be ordered yet, from us or anyone else, because the official server tools are not out. We will open Stormforge servers once they are released and we have tested them. We are not giving a date we cannot promise.
The Stormforge server hosting page has a waitlist. Add your email and we will write to you the moment you can deploy, along with updated guides covering real ports, settings and memory numbers.
What is confirmed about Stormforge servers
From the Steam store page and the developer's own FAQ on Steam:
- Up to 8 players. Stormforge is built for solo play and online co-op for 1 to 8 players.
- Self-hosted servers. Roboto Games says the game will support self-hosted servers that players connect to over LAN or through a relay server.
- Works offline. The developer FAQ says the game can be played completely offline, and that single player and multiplayer should keep working even if every online service shut down.
- LAN co-op is a listed feature.
- Windows PC on Steam. The game is Windows only at launch, with a free demo already on Steam.
- Steam Workshop and a level editor are listed, with mods that can be added to an existing game without separate downloads.
What is not known yet: whether there is a separate dedicated server download, whether it runs on Linux, which ports it uses, what settings it exposes and how much memory it needs. Our Stormforge dedicated servers explainer tracks each of these, and we update it as details land.
Planned Stormforge plans
Plans are sized by RAM, at 2.50 USD per GB a month. Because the server has not been released, these sizes are our estimates based on similar 8 player survival games. We will adjust them once we can test the real server.
| Plan | RAM | Price per month | Good for (estimate) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 6 GB | 14.99 USD | A small crew, up to 4 players |
| Standard | 8 GB | 19.99 USD | A full crew of 8 players |
| Pro | 12 GB | 29.99 USD | 8 players in a big, well explored world |
Procedurally generated worlds usually need more memory the more of the map players uncover, which is why the top plan exists even with the same 8 player cap. New customers get 50% off the first month on any plan, and you can change plan any time from Settings. More on sizing in how much RAM a game server needs.
What hosting will look like
Once Stormforge servers open, the steps will match every game we host today:
- Pick a plan on the Stormforge page.
- Choose who pays. Pay alone, or pick Split with friends at checkout.
- Pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe. Billing is monthly with no contract, and you can cancel from the dashboard any time. The server runs until the end of the paid month.
- Your server is live in about 60 seconds. The address and panel login show on your dashboard right after checkout. No command line, no waiting on a ticket.
The server runs on dedicated hardware in a data center, so your crew's world stays online when the friend who usually hosts logs off. Your home IP is never shared, and there is no port forwarding. Exact join steps will depend on how Stormforge's server tools work, and we will publish them when they are out.
Split the cost with friends
Stormforge crews top out at 8, which makes splitting the bill easy. At checkout choose Split with friends and pick from 2 to 10 people. Everyone pays their own share by card, and each share includes a 1 USD payment fee. As an example, the 8 GB Standard plan split eight ways comes to about 3.50 USD each per month.
- You pay your share and the server starts straight away.
- Each friend gets their own payment link and pays when they are ready. Every share that comes in keeps the server running longer.
- If you are a new customer, your friends also get 50% off their first month.
- Friends who make an account with the email they paid with see the server in their own dashboard and can use the console, actions and files.
If someone drops out, the remaining shares go up (never above the full server price) and everyone is emailed before anything changes. See billing and cancellation.
The control panel
Every server comes with the same control panel:
- Live console with full access to run any server command.
- One click actions for start, stop, restart and backup.
- File manager in the browser to edit configs, upload and download files.
- SFTP login for big uploads, like moving an existing world across.
- 3 backups, which matter in early access, where patches can occasionally break saves.
- Sleep when empty, which stops the server after 90 minutes with nobody online. One click starts it again, and you can turn it off.
The control panel doc explains each part.
How to prepare now
- Try the free demo on Steam with your crew to see which classes you like. It has two biomes, one boss and three classes.
- Agree on your crew. With a cap of 8, settle who is in before launch day.
- Buy the game when early access opens on 10 November 2026. Every player needs their own copy.
- Join the waitlist so you hear the moment servers open.
How to join the waitlist
- Go to the Stormforge server hosting page.
- Enter your email in the waitlist box.
- We email you when Stormforge servers open, so your crew can be first on its own server.

FAQ
Can I rent a Stormforge server now?
Not yet. The official server tools have not been released, so no host can offer Stormforge servers yet. Join the waitlist on the Stormforge page and we will email you when you can deploy.
Does Stormforge have dedicated servers?
Roboto Games has confirmed self-hosted servers that players reach over LAN or a relay. Whether that is a separate dedicated server program has not been published yet.
How many players can join a Stormforge server?
Up to 8. Stormforge supports co-op for 1 to 8 players, so our planned plans top out at 8 slots.
How much will a Stormforge server cost?
The planned plans are 14.99 USD a month for 6 GB, 19.99 USD for 8 GB and 29.99 USD for 12 GB, with 50% off the first month for new customers. These sizes are estimates until we can test the real server.
Will I be able to play without a server?
Yes. Stormforge supports single player and co-op, and the developers say both keep working offline. A server is for keeping your crew's world online when the usual host is not playing.
