On this page
Billing is handled by Stripe, so your card details never touch our servers. This page covers how you are charged, where to find invoices, how promotion codes work, and how to cancel.
How billing works
Every server is a monthly subscription. You pay for the first month at checkout, then Stripe charges the same amount on the same day each month until you cancel. There are no setup fees and no contracts.
Each server has its own subscription. If you run two servers, you have two subscriptions, each billed on the day that server was ordered.
Prices are set by the plan's RAM and shown on the game page and at checkout before you pay. See choosing a plan for how pricing works. Prices are in US dollars.
Monthly or yearly
Every plan can be paid monthly or yearly. Yearly costs the same as 10 months, so you get 2 months free. New customers get their first month at half price on monthly billing, and yearly already includes its free months. Already on monthly? Open your server's control panel and click Switch to yearly: you are charged today, minus the unused part of your current month.
Server Share: splitting the bill with friends
Choose Split with friends at checkout to split a server's monthly price across up to 10 people, each paying with their own card.
- Server Share is not a payment plan. Nobody pays in parts over time: each friend pays their own share with their own card, monthly or yearly, whichever the server uses.
- The price is split evenly, plus a $1 fee per person on each payment. For example, a $9.99 plan split 3 ways is $12.99 in total, or $4.33 each.
- You pay your share at checkout and the server starts right away. Your dashboard then shows a link for each friend.
- Friends open their link and pay their share. They do not need an account. They get an email with their receipt and a private link to manage or cancel their share.
- Every payment keeps the server running for its part of the month. If 1 of 3 shares is paid, the server runs for about 10 days. When everyone pays, it runs the whole month. Your dashboard shows the date it is paid until.
- If someone leaves the split, the others cover their part so the server keeps running. Each remaining payer's share can rise up to the full server price. We email them before the change, and it applies from a renewal at least 7 days away. When a new friend joins, everyone's share goes back down.
- You can add a friend to the split, or remove a link nobody has paid yet, from your dashboard at any time.
Payment methods
At checkout you pay through Stripe Checkout, which accepts:
- All major credit and debit cards
- Apple Pay, on supported Apple devices and browsers
- Google Pay, on supported devices and browsers
The options you see depend on your device and browser. The card or wallet you use at checkout is saved to your subscription for future monthly charges.
Promotion codes
If you have a promo code, type it in the Promo code box on our checkout page, next to the total, and click Apply. If a creator sent you a link, the code is already filled in. The discount comes off your first payment and is shown in the total before you pay. One code per order, and you cannot use your own affiliate code.

Refunds
New to GamezServers? If you are not happy, email support@gamezservers.com within 72 hours of your first payment for a full refund. This covers your first purchase only, once per person. Renewals and later payments are not refundable, but you can cancel any time so you are not charged again. The full policy is in our Terms of Service.
The Billing button
Everything to do with payments lives in the Stripe customer portal. To open it:
- Sign in and go to your dashboard.
- Click Billing.
In the portal you can:
- Update your payment method, for example when a card expires.
- See and download invoices for every payment.
- Cancel a subscription.
When you are done, the portal sends you back to your dashboard.
Cancelling
To cancel a server, open Billing from your dashboard and cancel that server's subscription in the Stripe portal. There is nothing else to fill in and no one to contact.
What happens next:
- You are not charged again for that server.
- The server keeps running until the end of the period you already paid for, so your group can keep playing until then.
- When the period ends, the subscription ends and the server shows as Cancelled on your dashboard.
- Your files are kept for a short while in case you change your mind: the server is paused 3 days after its paid time ends and deleted for good 14 days after that. Download anything you want to keep before then.
If you have several servers, cancelling one does not affect the others.
Common questions
Can I get an invoice for my records? Yes. Every payment has an invoice in the Stripe portal under Billing.
My card expired. Will my server go offline? Update your card in the Billing portal as soon as you can so the next monthly payment goes through.
Do I need an account to pay? To buy a server, yes. Checkout signs you in or creates your account on the same page before sending you to Stripe, so your servers and billing are tied to your account. Friends paying a share through a Server Share link do not need one. See account and sign in.
Something looks wrong with a charge. Email support@gamezservers.com with the invoice details and we will sort it out.
