Host the roleplay city your community deserves
Recipes, a whitelist and a staff team, on a server that keeps up.
Start from a Qbox, QBCore or ESX recipe in txAdmin, lock the doors with a Discord whitelist and hand your staff the right permissions. The Pro plan gives your city 12 GB and 48 slots for the custom cars and maps that make it yours.

Run a city, not a server
A full city before your first meeting
Every roleplay community needs the same base: characters, jobs, money, inventories, garages, police and EMS, and proximity voice. txAdmin recipes deploy all of it from one screen, with pma-voice already set up on FiveM's built in Mumble, so there is no voice server to host on the side.
Your server's own MySQL database is filled into the recipe for you. Pick a framework, let the recipe run, and your founders can walk the streets of a working city on the first evening.
A whitelist your staff can run from Discord
Most roleplay servers are whitelisted: players apply, staff read the application, and approved players get in. In txAdmin, set Allowlist Mode to Discord Server Roles and approved players get in once they have the role in your Discord, with no script or restart needed.
Everyone who helps run the city gets their own txAdmin login from the Admins page, with only the permissions their role needs: kick, warn and spectate for moderators, bans and restarts for admins. The History page lists every warn and ban with who issued it, so disputes end with facts.
Room for the cars and maps that set you apart
Players remember a city for its custom police fleet, its MLO interiors and its clothing. Those are what eat memory, not the framework. The Pro plan gives you 12 GB of RAM and 48 slots for $29.99 a month, and Elite gives a busy 48 slot city 16 GB. Starting smaller? Standard with 8 GB fits a framework with a normal script pack and up to 32 players, and you can upgrade from your dashboard as the city grows.
Only use scripts, cars and maps you have the rights to, including paid ones from Tebex and the Cfx.re forum. Leaked resources are the classic source of server backdoors.
Keep the city stable as it grows
Schedule restarts every 6 to 12 hours in txAdmin and players get warnings in chat beforehand. When txAdmin says FXServer is out of date, press Update game in our panel: your resources, server.cfg and txAdmin data stay.
Press Backup before every new script or car pack and add one resource at a time. If something breaks the city, restore and keep the evening's roleplay going.
Share the cost with your staff
Founding teams often share the bill. Split the server at checkout and each staff member pays their own share from a link, so no one person carries the city. You need a free Cfx.re license key from portal.cfx.re, and every player needs FiveM and a legal copy of GTA V on PC.

How to join your FiveM server
- 1
Install FiveM from fivem.net on a PC that owns Grand Theft Auto V, and start it once so it can set itself up.
- 2
Press F8 in the FiveM main menu to open the console.
- 3
Type connect
203.0.113.24:30120and press Enter. - 4
Wait for the server's files to download the first time. Once your server is in the FiveM server list, friends can also search for
My FiveM Server.
Common problems
Server is not in the list yet
Connecting with F8 and connect 203.0.113.24:30120 always works. A new server can take a while to appear in the FiveM server list, and it only shows while the server is started in txAdmin.
Stuck downloading or "Couldn't load resource"
Big roleplay servers download hundreds of megabytes on the first join. Let it finish. If it keeps failing, clear the FiveM cache (the data folder's cache, server-cache and server-cache-priv folders) and join again.
Your GTA V must be up to date
FiveM needs a legal, up to date copy of Grand Theft Auto V for PC from Steam, Epic Games or Rockstar Games. Story mode does not need to be finished.
Server not responding
Make sure the server is online. Servers sleep after 4 days with nobody playing, and anyone with access can start them again from the dashboard in one click.
Use the server address
Do not use localhost, 127.0.0.1 or your own IP from a home hosting guide. Copy the exact address of the server.
No port forwarding or firewall changes
Opening ports on your router is only for hosting a server at home, so there is nothing to change to join this one. If Windows asks whether to let the game through the firewall, choose Allow.
Common questions
Which framework should my roleplay server use?
Qbox if you are starting fresh and want the ox stack while running most QBCore scripts, QBCore if you follow its tutorials or own QBCore scripts, and ESX Legacy if your developer knows ESX. All three are txAdmin recipes.
How many players can my roleplay server hold?
Up to 48, the most a free Cfx.re license key allows. Pro and Elite both have 48 slots, with 12 or 16 GB of RAM for heavier resource packs.
How do I whitelist my roleplay server?
In txAdmin, open Settings, then the Whitelist tab, and set Allowlist Mode to Discord Server Roles. Approved players get in once they have the role in your Discord.
Can my staff manage the server?
Yes. Add each staff member on txAdmin's Admins page with only the permissions they need. Keep console and CFG Editor access for people you would trust with your license key.
Can I add custom cars and MLO maps?
Yes. Upload them in the Files tab or over SFTP and start them in server.cfg. Only use resources you have the rights to.
Does my server need a database?
Roleplay frameworks need MySQL, so every FiveM server comes with its own. txAdmin recipes get its details filled in automatically.
Do I need a license key?
Yes. Every FiveM server needs a free license key from the Cfx.re portal (portal.cfx.re). Sign in with your Cfx.re account, open Server Keys, generate one and paste it at checkout. You can change it later in Settings.
Can I run QBCore, Qbox or ESX?
Yes. Choose the txAdmin server type, open txAdmin from your panel and pick a recipe. It downloads the framework and sets up the server for you.
How many players can join?
Up to 48, which is the most a free Cfx.re license key allows. Plans are sized by RAM, so pick more memory for heavy scripts and maps rather than more slots.
Can my friends and I split the cost?
Yes. At checkout choose "Me and my friends" and up to 10 people each pay their own share with their own card, on any plan length, from 3 days to a year. It is not a payment plan: nobody pays in parts over time, each friend simply pays their own share. You pay yours, send each friend their link, and the server starts straight away. Each share includes a $1 payment fee.
Can I build a custom plan?
Yes. Every game has a Build your own page: pick any amount of RAM up to 32 GB, any length from 3 days to 1 year, prepaid or a subscription, plus your server type and settings. A custom size costs 15% more per GB than the standard plans next to it.
Can I pay once instead of a subscription?
Yes. Pick Prepaid and pay once for 3 days, 30 days, 6 months or a year. Nothing renews: when the time is up the server pauses and keeps its world for 14 days. Add time or switch to a subscription from your panel any time. Short rentals cost more per day, since every server is set up from scratch.
How fast is setup, really?
Your server starts building the moment Stripe confirms payment. Most are online in under a minute, and the address and login appear on your dashboard automatically.
