What comes set up on a Rising World server

Survival or Creative

Pick the game mode for a new world in the panel: a hard start with hunger and night threats, or free building with every block.

Builds that stay put

Villages, mines and castles keep standing between sessions, and one click backups protect them before a big update.

RCON for remote admin

Switch on RCON with its own password to run admin commands without logging into the game.

Java legacy worlds

Still on the old Java edition? Switch the server type to Java Legacy in the panel and keep that world alive.

How to join your Rising World server

  1. 1

Start Rising World and open Multiplayer.

  2. 2

Click Connect by IP at the bottom of the server list.

  3. 3

    Enter 203.0.113.24 and connect.

  4. 4

Type the password from your panel if the server asks for one.

Common problems

The Game Mode setting only applies when a new world is created. To switch an existing server, change the mode and set a new World Name.

Players on the Java edition can't join the current version and the other way round. Make sure the whole group runs the same edition as your server type.

If the server list is slow to show your server, use Connect by IP at the bottom of the multiplayer screen and paste 203.0.113.24.

Keep Auto Update on. After a game patch, players on the new build can't join a server still on the old one.

Server not responding

Make sure the server is online. Servers sleep after 4 days with nobody playing, and anyone with access can start them again from the dashboard in one click.

Use the server address

Do not use localhost, 127.0.0.1 or your own IP from a home hosting guide. Copy the exact address of the server.

No port forwarding or firewall changes

Opening ports on your router is only for hosting a server at home, so there is nothing to change to join this one. If Windows asks whether to let the game through the firewall, choose Allow.

Rising World server hosting, explained

Rising World is a voxel sandbox from JIW-Games in a procedurally generated world. You dig, mine, farm, hunt and build anything from a log cabin to a walled town, with finer building tools than most voxel games. In multiplayer the fun is shared projects: a village where everyone takes a plot, a mine the whole group feeds, or a survival map where people trade and help each other through the first nights.

A dedicated server keeps the world running and your builds safe when you log off, so nobody has to leave a PC on for the rest of the group. Servers run in Survival or Creative, which lets you choose between a real struggle and a pure building server. Many groups keep one world going for months, adding a new district every weekend.

There are two server types you can switch between in the panel: the current Rising World and the older Java legacy version for groups still playing old worlds. Settings cover server name, password, world name, the default game mode for new worlds, auto updates and optional RCON with its own password. Everything else is in the server's config files, open to you in the file manager or over SFTP.

Memory depends mostly on how much of the world is loaded at once, which rises with player count and how far apart people settle. A handful of builders fit on 4 GB. Groups of ten or more, or worlds where players spread across the map, should start at 8 GB. A large public server heading toward the 64 player cap wants 12 GB.

Common questions

How many players can join a Rising World server?

The current version supports up to 64 players by default. The practical limit is memory and how far apart people build.

How do I join a Rising World server by IP?

Open Multiplayer, click Connect by IP at the bottom of the list, and enter the address with its port. Then type the password if one is set.

Can I run Survival and Creative?

Yes. The Game Mode setting picks Survival or Creative, but only when a new world is created. To switch, change the mode and start a new world name.

What is the Java Legacy server type?

It runs the older Java edition of Rising World instead of the current version. Use it only if your group still plays that edition, since players must match the server.

Can Windows, Mac and Linux players share a server?

Yes. Rising World runs on all three through Steam, and they can join the same server as long as everyone is on the same version.

How do I administer the server remotely?

Turn on the RCON setting in the panel and set an RCON password of at least six characters. You can also use the live console in the panel.

Can I bring my existing world to the server?

Yes. Upload the world folder through the file manager or SFTP, then set World Name in the panel to that folder's name and restart.

How much RAM does a Rising World server need?

4 GB for a few builders, 8 GB for ten to twenty players spread out, and 12 GB for a big public server.

Is GamezServers affiliated with Rising World?

No. You rent and control your own dedicated Rising World server. GamezServers is not affiliated with the game's developer or publisher.

Can my friends and I split the cost?

Yes. At checkout choose "Me and my friends" and up to 10 people each pay their own share with their own card, on any plan length, from 3 days to a year. It is not a payment plan: nobody pays in parts over time, each friend simply pays their own share. You pay yours, send each friend their link, and the server starts straight away. Each share includes a $1 payment fee.

Can I build a custom plan?

Yes. Every game has a Build your own page: pick any amount of RAM up to 32 GB, any length from 3 days to 1 year, prepaid or a subscription, plus your server type and settings. A custom size costs 15% more per GB than the standard plans next to it.

Can I pay once instead of a subscription?

Yes. Pick Prepaid and pay once for 3 days, 30 days, 6 months or a year. Nothing renews: when the time is up the server pauses and keeps its world for 14 days. Add time or switch to a subscription from your panel any time. Short rentals cost more per day, since every server is set up from scratch.

How fast is setup, really?

Your server starts building the moment Stripe confirms payment. Most are online in under a minute, and the address and login appear on your dashboard automatically.
