Launch Euro Truck Simulator 2 and load your profile.

Open Convoy from the main menu.

Find the lobby name in the session browser, or search for the search ID shown in the server console.

Common problems
Server won't start the first time? It needs server_packages.sii and server_packages.dat. Enable the console in your game, run export_server_packages, and upload both files from your ETS2 documents folder.
Players can't join? Everyone needs the DLC and mods listed in the server packages, in a matching game version. Export the packages from a setup the whole crew can match.
Game updated and the lobby broke? Restart the server so auto update pulls the new version, then export fresh server packages if the game asks for them.
Add your SteamID64 to the moderator list in server_config.sii to get kick and ban rights in the lobby.
Server not responding
Make sure the server is online. Servers sleep after 4 days with nobody playing, and anyone with access can start them again from the dashboard in one click.
Use the server address
Do not use localhost, 127.0.0.1 or your own IP from a home hosting guide. Copy the exact address of the server.
No port forwarding or firewall changes
Opening ports on your router is only for hosting a server at home, so there is nothing to change to join this one. If Windows asks whether to let the game through the firewall, choose Allow.
Modding your Euro Truck Simulator 2 server
Convoy runs whatever map DLC and mods you export in the server packages, as long as every player has them too. Map mods come from the Steam Workshop and the ETS2 modding community.

Euro Truck Simulator 2 from SCS Software has you hauling cargo across Europe and building up a trucking company. Its official Convoy mode puts up to eight players in the same world, so friends can take jobs side by side, chat over the CB and roll into a city as a line of trucks. It's slow and social, and a lot more fun with friends than it has any right to be.
A dedicated Convoy server means your crew can join whenever they like instead of waiting for one person to host. The panel sets the lobby name and auto update, and we make the server's Steam token at setup so the lobby keeps the same search ID between restarts. The rest lives in server_config.sii, edited in the file manager: password, traffic, collision rules, name tags and moderators.
The map, DLC and mods come from server package files you export from your own game. Turn on the console, run export_server_packages, and upload server_packages.sii and server_packages.dat with the file manager. Everyone then needs that same content to join, so groups usually export from a setup they all share, such as a common set of map DLC plus a map mod like ProMods.
The Convoy server doesn't render the game, it syncs players and traffic, so it's light. 2 GB handles a full eight truck convoy, and 4 GB gives room for map DLC and big map mods in the packages. 6 GB is only for an oversized convoy where every player has raised the size limit in their own game files, which SCS doesn't support.

Common questions
How many players can join an ETS2 Convoy server?
The official limit is 8 players per session. Going higher means every player edits g_max_convoy_size in their own game config, and SCS doesn't support it.
What are server_packages files and why do I need them?
They describe the map, DLC and mods your server runs, and the server won't start without them. Run export_server_packages in your game's console and upload the two files it creates.
Do all players need the same DLC and mods?
Yes. Players must have the content listed in the server packages to join. Export the packages from a setup your whole crew can match.
Do I need to make a Steam token?
No. We create the server's Steam token at setup, which keeps the lobby on the same search ID every time it starts.
How do I set a password?
Set the password in server_config.sii in the file manager and restart. Players enter it when they join the lobby.
Can I use ProMods on a Convoy server?
Yes, if everyone has ProMods and its required map DLC installed. Enable it in your mod manager, then export the server packages and upload them.
Is this the same as TruckersMP?
No. TruckersMP is a separate multiplayer mod with its own servers. This is SCS's official Convoy mode, a private lobby for your crew.
Is GamezServers affiliated with Euro Truck Simulator 2?
No. You rent and control your own dedicated Euro Truck Simulator 2 server. GamezServers is not affiliated with the game's developer or publisher.
Can my friends and I split the cost?
Yes. At checkout choose "Me and my friends" and up to 10 people each pay their own share with their own card, on any plan length, from 3 days to a year. It is not a payment plan: nobody pays in parts over time, each friend simply pays their own share. You pay yours, send each friend their link, and the server starts straight away. Each share includes a $1 payment fee.
Can I build a custom plan?
Yes. Every game has a Build your own page: pick any amount of RAM up to 32 GB, any length from 3 days to 1 year, prepaid or a subscription, plus your server type and settings. A custom size costs 15% more per GB than the standard plans next to it.
Can I pay once instead of a subscription?
Yes. Pick Prepaid and pay once for 3 days, 30 days, 6 months or a year. Nothing renews: when the time is up the server pauses and keeps its world for 14 days. Add time or switch to a subscription from your panel any time. Short rentals cost more per day, since every server is set up from scratch.
How fast is setup, really?
