Palworld Admin Commands for Dedicated Servers (Full List)

Palworld admin commands let you kick and ban players, teleport, save the world and shut the server down with a warning. To use them, set an AdminPassword in PalWorldSettings.ini, then type /AdminPassword yourpassword in the in game chat. After that, every command starts with a slash, for example /ShowPlayers. Here is the full list and how to use each one.

How to become admin

1. Stop the server and open PalWorldSettings.ini (in Pal/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/ or Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/).
2. In the long OptionSettings=(...) line, set a password: AdminPassword="pick-something-long".
3. Save and start the server.
4. In game, press Enter to open chat and type:

/AdminPassword pick-something-long

You are now admin until you leave. You need to enter it again every time you join. Do not share the admin password in public chat, since anyone who knows it gets full control.

How to kick or ban the right player

Always run /ShowPlayers first. It prints each player's name, player UID and ID. For Steam players, use the ID with the steam_ prefix:

For Xbox and PS5 players there is no Steam ID. Use the ID shown for them in /ShowPlayers instead. Copying the ID straight from the list is the safest way to avoid kicking the wrong person.

Bans are saved in the server's ban list, so they last through restarts. To remove one, use /UnBanPlayer with the same ID.

Shutting down safely

/DoExit stops the server instantly, and if the last autosave was a while ago you can lose progress. For planned restarts, save and warn everyone first:

/Broadcast Server restarting in 5 minutes, find somewhere safe
/Save
/Shutdown 300 Restarting for an update

The number is seconds. Players see the message and a countdown.

Things admin commands cannot do

Palworld has no built in commands to give items, spawn Pals, change rates or set the time of day on a dedicated server. Rates, XP, capture chance and day length are set in PalWorldSettings.ini, with the server stopped. If your changes there do not seem to work, see Palworld server settings not working.

Community tools such as PalDefender add extra admin features like item giving and anti cheat, but they need updating after big patches, so check they support your game version first.

RCON and the REST API

For managing the server without joining, Palworld has RCON and a REST API, turned on with RCONEnabled and RESTAPIEnabled in PalWorldSettings.ini. Both use the admin password. If you self host, keep their ports closed to the internet unless you really need remote access, since anyone who reaches them can try the password.

Using admin commands on a GamezServers server

On a hosted server you can manage everything from your browser. The Console tab in the control panel gives you full access, so you can run commands like ShowPlayers, Save or Broadcast without being in game. The panel also has one click buttons for Save world, Broadcast, Show players and Kick player, which asks for the player first. In game admin with /AdminPassword works the same as on any server.
