How do I set the admin password?

The admin password is the whole security model in Conan Exiles. There are no admin tiers: anyone who knows it can become admin. Set it in ServerSettings.ini, which lives in ConanSandbox/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/ (LinuxServer on a Linux server, such as our Enhanced type):

AdminPassword is listed in Funcom's server INI settings reference for Conan Exiles Enhanced as a setting that does not need a restart, but stop the server before editing the file anyway. Conan rewrites its ini files when it shuts down, so changes made while it runs can be lost. Save, then start it again.

How do I become admin in game?

There are two ways, and both use that password:

Console: press Insert or ~ to open the command bar and type:

Menu: press Esc, open Settings > Server Settings, enter the admin password and tick Make Me Admin.

Admin lasts for your session, so you repeat this after logging out. To go back to being a normal player, type MakeMeNormal. In single player you are already admin and need no password.

How do I open the Conan Exiles admin panel?

Press Ctrl + Shift + C once you are admin. The panel is the easiest way to do most things:

Spawn items: search by name and drag items into your inventory, no IDs needed.
Player list: see who is online, kick and ban, and teleport to players. There is no plain console command for kicking or banning, so use the panel for that.

A few item IDs people ask for: Stone 10001, Wood 10011, Iron Bar 11501, Steel Bar 11502, Hardened Steel Bar 18062. For anything else, the admin panel's item search is quicker than looking up IDs.

How do I remove abandoned or rule breaking buildings?

Look at the building and type BuildingIdentify. The console prints its building ID, owner and position.
Remove it with BuildingDestroy BuildingID.

Avoid DestroyTarget and the large radius delete shortcut (Ctrl + Shift + Delete) on anything near the world itself. They can delete pieces of the map, which only a restart fixes. Take a backup first if you are clearing a lot of land.

Are there purge commands?

Yes, for testing or running purge events by hand:

What chat commands can every player use?

These need no admin rights: /s (local), /c (clan), /g (global, if the server allows it), /me, /whoami, /roll and /help. They are handy on roleplay servers.

Can I run commands over RCON?

Yes. Enable RCON in Game.ini on the server:
