Common problems
Give yourself owner rank from the panel console with /setrank yourname owner before anything else, so you can run admin commands in game.
If the server does not appear on the classicube.net list, check public = true in properties/server.properties and restart. It can take a minute to show up.
Players joining from the list are verified by classicube.net. If someone cannot connect by IP alone, have them sign in to the launcher and join from the server list instead.
Server not responding
Make sure the server is online. Servers sleep after 4 days with nobody playing, and anyone with access can start them again from the dashboard in one click.
Use the server address
Do not use localhost, 127.0.0.1 or your own IP from a home hosting guide. Copy the exact address of the server.
No port forwarding or firewall changes
Opening ports on your router is only for hosting a server at home, so there is nothing to change to join this one. If Windows asks whether to let the game through the firewall, choose Allow.
Modding your ClassiCube server
MCGalaxy has built in minigames and a plugin system for custom commands and game modes, and ClassiCube's protocol extensions let servers add custom blocks, models and textures.
ClassiCube server hosting, explained
ClassiCube is a free, open source game compatible with Minecraft Classic, the early, simple version of block building that many players remember from 2009. It runs on almost anything, from old laptops and phones to a web browser, and it adds optional extras like custom blocks, skyboxes and weather. Its servers host freebuild worlds, parkour courses, zombie survival, capture the flag and other community minigames, most of them small and friendly.
A ClassiCube server is where your community's maps, ranks and rules live. Running your own means nobody else decides who builds where. Build groups run creative servers with plots and ranks for trusted builders, minigame servers rotate Zombie Survival rounds, and classes and youth clubs use ClassiCube because it is free, runs in a browser and needs no expensive accounts.
Our servers run MCGalaxy, the most used ClassiCube server software. The panel sets the server name, message of the day and which MCGalaxy version to install. Everything else, from ranks and permissions to worlds, minigames and plugins, is handled with in game commands or files you edit in the file manager. Once the server is public it shows on the classicube.net server list, where players can join from the launcher or straight from their browser.
ClassiCube servers use very little memory, since classic maps are small and the block format is simple. 1 GB runs a small community with a few worlds, 2 GB covers a busy server with minigames, and 4 GB is only needed when you keep many very large maps loaded at the same time. The server starts in seconds, and changing plans later is a click in the panel.

Common questions
Is ClassiCube free?
Yes. The ClassiCube client is free and open source, and players only need a free classicube.net account to join listed servers.
Is this the same as Minecraft?
No. ClassiCube is a separate open source project compatible with Minecraft Classic. It is not made by Mojang, and modern Minecraft clients cannot connect to it.
How many players can join?
MCGalaxy lets you set the player cap in server.properties. Classic maps are light, so even a small plan holds dozens of players.
How do players find my server?
With public set to true, the server appears on the classicube.net server list within about a minute. Players find it in the launcher or on the website.
How do I make myself admin?
Run /setrank yourname owner in the panel console. After that you can rank other players and use every command in game.
How do I add new worlds?
Use /newlvl with a name, size and theme, for example /newlvl build 128 64 128 flat. Players visit it with /goto build.
Can I add plugins and minigames?
Yes. MCGalaxy includes Zombie Survival, Lava Survival, CTF and more, and plugin files can be uploaded to the plugins folder and loaded with commands.
How do I change the welcome message?
Edit the MOTD setting in the panel and restart. That text is what players see as they connect.
Is GamezServers affiliated with ClassiCube?
No. You rent and control your own dedicated ClassiCube server. GamezServers is not affiliated with the game's developer or publisher.
Can my friends and I split the cost?
Yes. At checkout choose "Me and my friends" and up to 10 people each pay their own share with their own card, on any plan length, from 3 days to a year. It is not a payment plan: nobody pays in parts over time, each friend simply pays their own share. You pay yours, send each friend their link, and the server starts straight away. Each share includes a $1 payment fee.
Can I build a custom plan?
Yes. Every game has a Build your own page: pick any amount of RAM up to 32 GB, any length from 3 days to 1 year, prepaid or a subscription, plus your server type and settings. A custom size costs 15% more per GB than the standard plans next to it.
Can I pay once instead of a subscription?
Yes. Pick Prepaid and pay once for 3 days, 30 days, 6 months or a year. Nothing renews: when the time is up the server pauses and keeps its world for 14 days. Add time or switch to a subscription from your panel any time. Short rentals cost more per day, since every server is set up from scratch.
How fast is setup, really?
Your server starts building the moment Stripe confirms payment. Most are online in under a minute, and the address and login appear on your dashboard automatically.
