ARK PvE servers where nobody wipes your base

Tame and breed on your schedule, not a raider's.

PvE mode is on by default on every ARK: Survival Ascended server we run, so players and tribes cannot attack each other from the first minute. You set the rates, the map and who gets in.

Why PvE tribes host with us

PvE is the default, not a config hunt

PvE mode is a panel setting, and it starts switched on. Players and tribes cannot damage each other or each other's bases, so a long breeding project survives a weekend away.

Want the classic PvE quality of life on top? Add it in Extra ? options, written together with no spaces, for example ?AllowFlyerCarryPvE=True?ServerCrosshair=True so flyers can carry dinos and players again. Options on the start line beat the same keys in the ini files.

Rates that suit a building server

XP multiplier, Taming speed and Harvest amount are simple panel settings. A casual PvE tribe does well on 3x taming, 2x XP and 2x harvest, and builders who just want to breed often go 5x.

Breeding lives in Game.ini under [/script/shootergame.shootergamemode]. Stop the server, open the file in the Files tab and set MatingIntervalMultiplier=0.1, EggHatchSpeedMultiplier=10 and BabyMatureSpeedMultiplier=10, with BabyCuddleIntervalMultiplier=0.1 so a full imprint stays reachable. Lower is faster for intervals and higher is faster for speeds.

A PvE community with room to grow

The Standard plan gives you 16 GB of RAM and up to 30 survivors for 39.99 USD a month, which fits bigger maps, boosted rates and a few mods. Fast breeding fills bases with dinos, and every one lives in memory, so cull old stock or step up to Pro with 24 GB and up to 70 players when the community grows.

Survival Ascended servers are cross platform, so Xbox and PlayStation players can join your PvE world alongside PC players.

Moderation tools for a public server

Public PvE servers still need a firm hand. The panel has buttons for List players, Kick player, Ban player and Broadcast, and the console runs any admin command without a cheat prefix. BattlEye anti cheat is a setting, and Whitelist only lets you lock the server to the players you add by EOS ID.

When the wild population gets out of hand, the Wipe wild dinos button clears every wild dino so fresh ones spawn, and tamed dinos are left alone.

How to join your ARK server

  1. 1

Launch ARK: Survival Ascended and click Join Game.

  2. 2

Switch the list to Unofficial and turn on Show Player Servers.

  3. 3

Search for the server name and click Join. Enter the password if you set one.

  4. 4

On PC you can also open the console and type open 203.0.113.24:7777 and press Enter.

Common problems

Cannot find the server

Set the list to Unofficial and turn on Show Player Servers. A new server can take a few minutes to appear.

Joining from the PC console

Press Tab on the main menu, paste the open command from this page and press Enter.

Version mismatch

The server updates itself on every restart. After a game patch, restart the server and update the game on every device.

Stuck after adding a mod

Mod IDs are CurseForge project IDs separated by commas with no spaces. A mod that was removed or is not updated for the current patch can stop the server loading, so take it out and restart.

Server not responding

Make sure the server is online. Servers sleep after 4 days with nobody playing, and anyone with access can start them again from the dashboard in one click.

Use the server address

Do not use localhost, 127.0.0.1 or your own IP from a home hosting guide. Copy the exact address of the server.

No port forwarding or firewall changes

Opening ports on your router is only for hosting a server at home, so there is nothing to change to join this one. If Windows asks whether to let the game through the firewall, choose Allow.

Common questions

Is my ARK server PvE by default?

Yes. PvE mode is a panel setting and it starts on. Turn it off in Settings if your group ever wants PvP.

Can flyers carry dinos on a PvE server?

Not by default. Add ?AllowFlyerCarryPvE=True to Extra ? options in the panel and restart.

What rates work for a PvE server?

Around 3x taming, 2x XP and 2x harvest suits most casual tribes. Breeding sped up about 10x with the cuddle interval at 0.1 keeps full imprints reachable.

How many players fit on a PvE server?

Up to 10 on Starter, 30 on Standard and 70 on Pro. Heavy breeding uses memory, so busy PvE servers suit Standard or Pro.

Can console players join my PvE server?

Yes. Survival Ascended servers are cross platform. Xbox and PlayStation players turn on Show Player Servers in the Join Game list and search for your server name.

Can I run a PvE cluster?

Not yet. Each server runs one map on its own, and characters and dinos cannot transfer between servers. You can switch the map at any time.

Why does ARK need so much RAM?

Survival Ascended is one of the heaviest servers around. 16 GB is the sweet spot for most tribes.

Can I run a cluster?

Not yet. Each server runs one map on its own, and characters and dinos cannot transfer between servers. You can switch a server to another map at any time.

Can console players join?

Yes. Survival Ascended servers are cross platform, so Xbox and PlayStation players can find your server under Unofficial with Show Player Servers turned on. Any mods you add need to support console too.

Can my friends and I split the cost?

Yes. At checkout choose "Me and my friends" and up to 10 people each pay their own share with their own card, on any plan length, from 3 days to a year. It is not a payment plan: nobody pays in parts over time, each friend simply pays their own share. You pay yours, send each friend their link, and the server starts straight away. Each share includes a $1 payment fee.

Can I build a custom plan?

Yes. Every game has a Build your own page: pick any amount of RAM up to 32 GB, any length from 3 days to 1 year, prepaid or a subscription, plus your server type and settings. A custom size costs 15% more per GB than the standard plans next to it.

Can I pay once instead of a subscription?

Yes. Pick Prepaid and pay once for 3 days, 30 days, 6 months or a year. Nothing renews: when the time is up the server pauses and keeps its world for 14 days. Add time or switch to a subscription from your panel any time. Short rentals cost more per day, since every server is set up from scratch.

How fast is setup, really?

Your server starts building the moment Stripe confirms payment. Most are online in under a minute, and the address and login appear on your dashboard automatically.
