A Minecraft Bedrock server with your add-ons
Your packs, running for phones, PCs and consoles in one world.
To make a Bedrock dedicated server with add-ons, build a world with the add-ons on your own device, export it and upload it, or upload the packs and turn them on in the world's pack files. Players download resource packs automatically when they join, and behavior packs run on the server.

Add-ons without guesswork
The easy way: upload a world that already has them
Open the add-on on Windows, iPhone, iPad or Android so Minecraft imports it. Create a world, activate the behavior and resource packs, turn on any experiments the add-on asks for, and load it once. Then edit the world, choose Export World, rename the .mcworld file to .zip and unzip it.
Stop the server, upload that folder into worlds from the Files tab or over SFTP, set World name in the panel to the folder's exact name, and start. Exported worlds carry their own behavior_packs and resource_packs folders, so pack IDs, versions and experiments are already right.
How do I add packs to a world already on the server?
Unzip the .mcaddon or .mcpack. Upload the behavior pack folder into behavior_packs and the resource pack folder into resource_packs, with manifest.json directly inside each pack folder. Open each manifest.json and copy the uuid and version from its header section, not from modules.
In worlds/your world name, add an entry for each pack to world_behavior_packs.json and world_resource_packs.json, then restart. To make every player accept the resource pack, set texturepack-required=true in server.properties.
What about experimental features?
Many add-ons need experiments such as Beta APIs. They are stored inside the world's level.dat, and the server has no setting or command to turn them on. Download the world, open it on your device, turn on the experiments and load it once, then export it and upload it back.
Experiments cannot be turned off again in that world, so take a backup first. Click Backup before adding or updating any add-on too, because some make permanent changes.
Which plan do add-ons need?
Bedrock Dedicated Server is Mojang's own server, written in native code, so it is far lighter than Java. A few add-ons with 10 to 25 players sit well on Standard with 4 GB and 25 slots for $9.99 a month. Heavy add-ons, a large explored world or 25 to 50 players are where Pro with 6 GB fits, and you can move between plans from the dashboard.
Bedrock only joins servers on the same version, and phones and consoles update on their own. After a Minecraft release, click Update game: your world, allowlist and settings are backed up and kept. If an add-on breaks after an update, update the add-on or take it out of world_behavior_packs.json for now.

How to join your Minecraft Bedrock server
- 1
Update Minecraft to the newest version. Bedrock only joins servers on the same version.
- 2
On Windows, iPhone, iPad or Android, click Play, open the Servers tab and choose Add Server.
- 3
Type any name, then enter
203.0.113.24as the server address and19132as the port. - 4
Click Save, then pick the server in the list to join. Xbox, PlayStation and Switch cannot add servers this way, see the tips below.
Common problems
IP and port go in separate boxes
Bedrock asks for the Server Address and the Port separately. Put only the numbers before the colon in Server Address, and the number after the colon in Port. Leaving the port at 19132 is the most common reason a server will not connect.
"Outdated server" or "Outdated client"
Bedrock only connects when your game and the server run the same version. Update Minecraft from your app store, or ask the owner to click Update game in the dashboard after a new Minecraft release.
Playing on Xbox, PlayStation or Switch?
Consoles only show the featured servers and have no Add Server button. The usual workaround is the free BedrockConnect DNS method, which adds a screen where you type the address. Apps like BedrockTogether (phone) or Phantom (PC on the same Wi-Fi) can also make the server show up under Friends or LAN games.
"You are not invited to this server"
The allowlist is on and your Gamertag is not on it. Ask the owner to add you with Allowlist player, typing your Gamertag exactly.
On Java Edition?
Java Edition players cannot join a Bedrock server. For Java and Bedrock players together, run a Java server with Geyser instead.
Server not responding
Make sure the server is online. Servers sleep after 4 days with nobody playing, and anyone with access can start them again from the dashboard in one click.
Use the server address
Do not use localhost, 127.0.0.1 or your own IP from a home hosting guide. Copy the exact address of the server.
No port forwarding or firewall changes
Opening ports on your router is only for hosting a server at home, so there is nothing to change to join this one. If Windows asks whether to let the game through the firewall, choose Allow.
Common questions
How much does a Minecraft Bedrock server cost?
Minecraft Bedrock servers start at $1.25 for 3 days, with no subscription. Monthly plans are 2 GB for up to 5 players at $4.99, 4 GB for up to 12 players at $9.99 and 6 GB for up to 25 players at $14.99. Pay monthly or prepaid, split the bill with friends, and cancel any time.
Do players need to download add-ons to join?
No. Resource packs download automatically when they join, and behavior packs run on the server.
Can I use add-ons from CurseForge or MCPEDL?
Yes, as long as they are Bedrock add-ons in .mcaddon or .mcpack format and support your Minecraft version.
Why does my add-on do nothing in game?
Check that World name matches the folder where you edited the pack files, and that you used the uuid from the header section of manifest.json.
Can I use Marketplace add-ons?
No. Marketplace worlds and add-ons are licensed to your account and are meant for Realms, not for copying onto dedicated servers.
Do Java mods or plugins work?
No. .jar mods and Paper plugins never work on Bedrock. For those, run our Java server and add Geyser so Bedrock players can join.
Can I add an add-on to an existing world?
Yes. Upload the packs and list them in the world's pack files. Back up first, because removing an add-on later can leave its blocks or mobs broken.
Can PlayStation, Xbox and Switch players join?
Yes, they play on the server like anyone else. Consoles just have no Add Server button, so console players use the free BedrockConnect DNS method to type in the address, or an app like BedrockTogether or Phantom that lists the server under Friends or LAN games.
Can Java Edition players join?
No. Bedrock Dedicated Server only accepts Bedrock players. If your group mixes Java and Bedrock, pick our Minecraft: Java Edition server and add Geyser, which lets Bedrock players join a Java world.
Why does it say "Outdated server"?
Minecraft updated on your device and the server is still on the older version. Click Update game in the dashboard. Your world is backed up first and kept.
Can my friends and I split the cost?
Yes. At checkout choose "Me and my friends" and up to 10 people each pay their own share with their own card, on any plan length, from 3 days to a year. It is not a payment plan: nobody pays in parts over time, each friend simply pays their own share. You pay yours, send each friend their link, and the server starts straight away. Each share includes a $1 payment fee.
Can I build a custom plan?
Yes. Every game has a Build your own page: pick any amount of RAM up to 32 GB, any length from 3 days to 1 year, prepaid or a subscription, plus your server type and settings. A custom size costs 15% more per GB than the standard plans next to it.
Can I pay once instead of a subscription?
Yes. Pick Prepaid and pay once for 3 days, 30 days, 6 months or a year. Nothing renews: when the time is up the server pauses and keeps its world for 14 days. Add time or switch to a subscription from your panel any time. Short rentals cost more per day, since every server is set up from scratch.
How fast is setup, really?
Your server starts building the moment Stripe confirms payment. Most are online in under a minute, and the address and login appear on your dashboard automatically.
